World Gravy Wrestling Championships

Yes, it is as crazy as it sounds and our friend Philippa James will steer us through some of the mystery. All in a good cause, the second World Gravy Wrestling Championships took place at The Rose and Bowl Restaurant in Bacup in August 2008 and raised funds for the East Lancashire Hospice.

Philippa joins the judges panel and does her fair share of ‘ogling’ the greasy bodies. This is the latest edition of a series of videos that we have done with Philippa called Philippa’s Kitchen. Others can be viewed on our YouTube Channel here.

The Great Northern Cook Off – Part 2 – The Heats Are On

Here it is, the second installment of The Great Northern Cook Off ‘Heats’ at South Trafford College. Now it is time to see if our teams have listened to the chefs and can turn out the dishes as they were intended.

Putting this installment together has been great fun when we have had such good footage to work with and such a nice bunch of people to film.Everyone featured in the films got on with their cooking leaving us spoiled for choice for what to put in.

There is still loads of good footage and plenty of out-takes which will get an airing at the final awards dinner in September so if you (or yours) don’t appear in these films you may do in future ones. The Great Northern Cook Off

We had a busy few day’s filming and photographing “The Great Northern Cook Off” heats. The event organised by Inspiring Events of Altrincham is now in its second year. The opening heats gave teams their first chance to do battle in the kitchens of South Trafford College. Contestants had a one hour demonstration by Chef’s Thomas Ludecke and Stephen Heaton, on how to prepare the 3 course set menu on which they would be judged.

We had a 3 crew team photograph and video the event.

Creative Mixed Media and we are based in Preston, Lancashire.

We incorporate photography, illustration, video production and motion graphics to produce content for web, print and traditional broadcast.

We launched Creative Mixed Media to serve the growing market for ‘New Media’ and ‘Multi-Media’ production. These are areas that we believe offer lots of new and exciting opportunities. We have the knowledge, tools and experience to produce content for the web, printed media, podcasts and broadcasts. We have a track record for producing top quality content and we enjoy working closely with our clients to communicate their ideas, illustrate their products and tell their stories.

To bring our clients ideas and messages to life we use a range of industry standard equipment and software. Using the Macintosh Platform we have all the tools necessary to shoot high resolution digital images.

Throughout the whole creative process maximum attention is paid to retaining complete flexibility for repurposing content for different uses giving the client maximum value.
