During the ‘Children in Need’ 2007 campaign, Martin Ainscough generously bid for the services of Aled Jones and Katie Melua for an evening of entertainment. Martin quickly offered the services of Aled and Katie to the Princes Trust who, in turn, organised a marvelous charity event in Cheshire billed as ‘An Evening with Aled and Katie’. We had a busy few day’s filming and photographing “The Great Northern Cook Off” heats. The event organised by Inspiring Events of Altrincham is now in its second year. The opening heats gave teams their first chance to do battle in the kitchens of South Trafford College. Contestants had a one hour demonstration by Chef’s Thomas Ludecke and Stephen Heaton, on how to prepare the 3 course set menu on which they would be judged. Read the rest of this entry »
