Downloading images from the gallery

Here are the instructions to help you download images from our Mobile Me web gallery. The gallery is held on a separate site and will open in a new window.

Firstly, you should have received an email with a User Name and Password. You will need these in order to see the gallery so have them to hand when you log on.

To get to the gallery, click onto the link provided in the email, or link on the web page which points to the gallery.

You should see the opening screen of the gallery with a login box. Fill in the User Name and Password.

The gallery page should now open.

The gallery page has a number of viewing options with the default being the Grid view.

Try different views to help you select the images that you require.

Downloading Images

You have two options when it comes to downloading images. You can either download individual images or the entire gallery.

Be careful. If you opt to download all of the images in the gallery, depending on the size of the gallery, this could take a long time. We recommend individual image downloads unless the gallery is quite small.

  • Select the image you want to download and click onto it.
  • The image you have clicked on to will fill the page as in the example below.

Underneath the image is the download button.

Click onto this button and the image will download onto your computer. The image will either go to your pre-defined download folder or onto your desktop.

When you have downloaded the image you want, you can either, carry on searching through the images using the right and left arrows next to the download button. Alternatively, click onto the ‘back to album’ button on the top left hand corner of the screen.

This will take you back to your previous view of the screen.

Downloading All The Gallery Images

If you do want to download all the images you need to click onto the download button which appears at the top of the gallery screen.

The gallery will build a zip file of all the images in the gallery.

When this file is created, it will ask you to click the download button to download zipped up file of images.

When the zip file has downloaded, it will unzip on your computer to create a folder containing all the images you have seen in the gallery.

Browser Problems

If you are using an old version of a browser, you may receive messages explaining that you will get a better user experience using a newer version of your browser. We would always recommend that you have the latest version of your browser on your machine. As an alternative, we recommend Firefox. This is an excellent open source (free) standards compliant web browser that ‘knocks the socks’ off Internet Explorer (in our humble opinion). It can be easily downloaded by clicking here, then follow the instructions for installation.
